About

Max grew up in Victoria and completed a Physiotherapy degree in Melbourne before moving to NSW to study medicine. After obtaining his MBBS, Max worked a variety of roles at multiple hospitals in Australia before entering GP training in the Newcastle area.

After completing GP training, Max was primarily practicing with the team at Kotara Family Practice before moving to Auckland for the duration of 2021. While in New Zealand, Max provided GP services at Ponsonby Medical Centre and had also been consulting as Medical Director for the Australia/New Zealand branch of Teladoc International.

Max has now returned to Newcastle and will be practicing at Whitebridge Medical Centre from mid February 2022. Max also works at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital in the Emergency Department and provides after hours coverage with the GP access team at John Hunter and Belmont Hospital.

Having worked in a variety of acute, subacute and governance roles in both the private and public systems, Max has a deep understanding of the interface between health administration and the provision of health services.

As a practicing General Practitioner, Max enjoys providing quality and collaborative healthcare for his local community while also fostering long term relationships with the families he cares for.

Outside of medicine Max enjoys surfing, golf and spending time with his family.
